"I want to say something about Joy. I don’t know if you’ll like it or not, and I’m not very good with words, but here it is. Some people don’t like how Joy and the sibunas reconciled suddenly in the last few episodes of S2, but I loved it. I don’t think her friends really understood how she felt after being taken away, then brought back to feel like she had been replaced. Her friends were acting strange around her, and keeping her out of things and she didn’t know why.

Then, I think that Joy started acting a bit ruthless towards the end of the season because she felt like her friends had abandoned her. And they didn’t understand why she was sabotaging everyone. But she felt like she had no one, had screwed everything up so badly, and that everyone hated her. And she wanted to help, but they couldn’t tell her anything to protect her. Just like all the others felt before they knew about sibuna. So she had to rely on herself.

But in the end, her friends needed her help and she found out what was going on. She accepted Fabian and Nina’s relationship, realized that Nina isn’t so bad, that her friends weren’t shutting her out for no apparent reason, and was able to be at peace with it all because she knew the truth. She had just wanted to be included. Sure, it seems like ‘oh, they needed her help so now they talk to her’ but they just wanted to protect her. They didn’t want another person involved. I used to not like Joy, because I never bothered to understand how she was feeling, or to look at things from her pov. But I was really happy with how season 2 ended, and hopefully we’ll be able to see a different side of Joy in season 3.

I legitimately adore you right now, you perfect person. You got everything pot on. Joy broke my heart in season two. I’m glad I’m not the only one and I can’t believe I haven’t seen this post until just now."
